Hendricks Orbium Gin has been called “distinct and delicious,” and we agree.

Hendrick’s Gin was launched by William Grant & Sons in 1999. It’s produced at their Girvan Distillery in South Ayrshire, Scotland — built in 1963. Somewhat famously, the distillery was built in a hurry due to a quarrel between William Grant & Sons and a supplier — Distillers Company Limited (DCL). From ground break to production was a short nine months. They produce several Single Malt and blended Whiskies there, in addition to Hendrick’s Gins.

The most famous Gin cocktail in the world is probably the G&T — the Gin & Tonic. Aside from the popular flavor — one of the reasons that it is so famous is that “tonic” in tonic water is quinine. Created by master distiller Lesley Gracie in small, 500 liter batches, Hendricks Orbium Gin starts with their popular core Gin made with juniper (of course), cucumber, and Bulgarian rose. But this special Gin is “quininated.” This means that it has extracts of quinine already in the Gin — plus some special infusions of blue lotus blossom and wormwood. It’s almost a cocktail in itself, but to our taste, a bit of soda brings out the flavors quite nicely.

Ratings & Reviews
Matthew
Matthew,
Definitely not a classic Gin, but what makes it different is what makes it excellent. It is floral and almost sweet. Being that it already has quinine, I love just adding club soda for a healthier and less sweet take on a gin and tonic

Bradley
Bradley,
This is a nice dry gin with a very wonderful floral flavor. It is light and refreshing, it mixes well but can also be served neat or with light ice. This was a fantastic non-juniper flavored gin!

Sylvian
Sylvian,
Love it!!!

Jimmy
Jimmy,
I love it! Goes great alone with tonic! Perfect nightcap for any evening!

Stefani
Stefani,
Love this gin! This is my second bottle and we love drinking it in a martini with a small splash of dry vermouth and a lemon twist. This is one of the most interesting and unusual gins I’ve had in a long time. Don’t cover up the flavor with too many mixers. It’s beautiful on its own.

Jim
Jim,
Flavorful and definitely unlike the original Hendricks. Very smooth finish with unique characteristics.

Todd
Todd,
I love using it for a gin and soda. Think gin and tonic with soda instead. It has all the same flavor profiles with out the sugar of tonic.. or after taste of diet tonic. I really dig it.

guest,
Great gin, however lacks uniqueness

Tristan
Tristan,
Limoncello nose. Such a botanical palate and a touch of quinine on the finish. One of the better gins I’ve had.
